Acknowledge Me

*New content

It’s no secret that Shana Mangatal has always wanted to be acknowledged in the life of Michael Jackson. Both her public and private social media accounts indicate that fact.

In 2003, Shana was in a televised interview on ET talking about her “relationship” with Michael and also conducted an interview with US weekly magazine. Michael had no knowledge that she was doing interviews and after finding out about them, Michael told her not to do anymore. (See After Gallin Morey)

Shana wrote a book about her “relationship” with Michael Jackson which was released in August 2016 (See After Gallin Morey).

Shana was also the topic of discussion when she contacted several TABLOID Media outlets to discuss her relationship with Michael

REELZ TV

She proudly shares her role in a Reelz TV “documentary” about Michael Jackson called Broke and Famous. In the “documentary” (below) she said, “Michael’s estate, they were able to make a lot of money after he passed away because they no longer had Michael to deal with…” she then laughs and goes on to say, “A lot of times he wouldn’t listen to them when he was over spending. With him not here, they don’t have to worry about that anymore.”

Shana also expresses her disappointment and desire to be acknowledged in Michael’s life with the members in her private book club.

The person who made the list saw Shana’s complaint and responded:

“ME”

Shana seems to post about her role as an extra in “Is This Scary/Ghosts” almost weekly. In the post below she boasts about being “the only one in the world who literally reenacted the public’s condemnation of Michael’s relationship with kids, WITH Michael.” This is an odd thing to say as Shana is one of those very people who has expressed condemnation over Michael’s relationship with kids.

Shana tells her private book club members that Michael called her when he was at P. Diddy’s party in 2001

But from the story told by Diddy to David Letterman, Michael had Beyoncé on his mind:

Diddy: Security they come over to me and they say, Mr Coombs: “Mr Michael Jackson is here to see you.” I’m like, ‘Get out of here’. So I go over, I find Mike and I’m like: “Mike what’s up, what you doing here? Thanks for coming.” So I get him a booth, we go to the booth, we start chit-chatting. (reffering to photo) Bring that up so they can see. See, he has his arm around me but you don’t see the shot of him whispering in my ear right after the shot was taken, he whispers in my ear, he says (soft voice immitating MJ) “Where’s Beyonce?”

Letterman: (audience laughs, claps) Really? Really? Wow. She was at the party?

Diddy: He came to the party to holler at Beyonce! This was before Jay Z though, you know what I’m saying? He came to the party to holler at Beyonce, finds her, then dances with Beyonce in the party.

Letterman: Really?

Diddy: Mike was smooth, Jack.

Michael wants to know “Where’s Beyoncé?”

Rabbi Schmuley is someone who Michael was very close to at one point in his life. Michael opened up to the Rabbi about many personal topics including women and what his ideal woman would be. Rabbi Schmuley released a book with this information to the public in 2009 and this topic was also discussed in the private book club. Shana believes that Michael was describing her but many fans believe he was referring to some of his leading ladies like Tatiana Thumbtzen.

Does this look like a tomboy to you?

Shana believes she is one of the women in the painting commissioned by Michael in 1994 by Brett Livingstone

Shana welcomes Photoshopped pictures of she and Michael together from her book club members because it’s a way of acknowledging their relationship (See Real or Photoshop).

The following pictures are photoshopped by book club member Sergey Keleman

One has to ask the question: Would there be a need for so many photoshopped pictures if Shana actually had more than one meet and greet photo with Michael?

Shana is mentioned in another online Tabloid article and proudly shares the link with her book club members.

More tabloid “acknowledgement”

There has been contention between Shana and Karen Faye, Michael’s Make-Up Artist, because Karen doesn’t acknowledge Shana as being a part of Michael’s life.

Shana shares Karen’s tweet with her book club members

Shana continues to complain about Karen Faye in her book club and also twists what Karen has said to gain sympathy from her members

Karen said in 1990 when Michael was in the hospital, Shana was a “fan” who stood outside which is the truth (See The Early Years).

Karen also said she only saw Shana with Michael’s fans and never WITH Michael

Shana stated in her comment above that she’s glad she has social media to share her “receipts” in regards to what Karen Faye has said about her. Her receipt was the hotel room list on the Dangerous Tour, but who really cares what hotel room Shana stayed in when Michael wasn’t even in the same hotel? Where are her “receipts” that back up the story of her romantic relationship with Michael?

Karen Faye blocking Shana on Twitter

Shana wanting to be acknowledged for information in her book that Karen tweeted about three years after Shana’s book was released. The Geffen information has been common knowledge for years and before Shana released her book.

Shana continuously strives to be recognized for her non speaking extra role in Ghosts, just as Ola has been as the Leading Lady in Thriller.

“I AM research”

When the documentary, Square One, was released which discusses the Jordan Chandler allegations, members in her book club were curious to know why Shana wasn’t included. While Shana refused to watch the documentary (See Michael and Me Book Club Gossip), she did offer this kind gesture :

Group members took her up on that offer

This was Shana’s response:

Shana shows frustration when MJ fans question her responses to discussions about Michael. If they don’t seek her for answers or accept what she has told them, she replies, ” I AM research.”

Shana posts the FedEx label from a package she received from Neverland while working at Gallin Morey in May 1996. The label only contains Shana’s first name which causes someone who read her book to ask how well Michael really knew her because they also notice the conversations between them in her book were superficial and he didn’t seem to acknowledge her. Judging from Shana’s response, she and Michael never had personal conversations about her, but as usual, third parties are involved and she states Michael found out information about her through other people.

During the time period that Shana is referring to, Michael married/divorced Lisa Presley and also had children with Debbie Rowe. He didn’t appear to have had maturity issues or problems “stepping up his game” in either of those two cases as one can see from the deposition of Gary Hearne, Michael’s long time driver, regarding Michael’s and Lisa’s relationship:

Many people who actually worked closely with Michael for years have chosen to respect his desire for privacy. They include musical collaborators, his longtime secretary/assistant, Grace and most other employees, as well as personal friends. Shana Mangatal stands out for her strong need to publicly link herself to Michael by writing a book, selling stories to the tabloid press he hated, appearing on a gossip TV show that exploits his name, and her constant posts about him on social media.

It’s difficult to determine the true nature of Shana’s relationship with Michael, however, we do know a professional relationship existed. On the other hand, Shana’s proof of a personal relationship with him has become somewhat murky because her story has changed over the years and to this day people still see Shana as a “fangirl”
