Michael Jackson was known as a very private man who fiercely struggled to keep his private life away from the public eye. Because of that, many of Michael’s close friends continue to honor his wishes and hold private memories of him in their heart. They do not seek financial compensation in exchange to discuss Michael Jackson publicly. In 2008, Shana and her friend exchanged a series of Emails in regards to a fictitious story planted by them in online MJ Forums about Shana and Michael (The Emails). The final Email Shana sends her friend in the infamous email exchange can be found below. This Email reveals Shana’s true motive behind telling the world she knows Michael Jackson.

The exact amount of money Shana has made thus far from simply working for Michael Jackson’s manager is uncertain, but we do have confirmation that she has benefited financially in several ways:

The Book – Upon announcing she has written the book, Michael and Me, Shana promotes it via websites such as Radar Online.

Shana continues to promote her book on a continual basis four years after it’s release date in 2016.

YouTube -Shana has a YouTube channel that is mainly comprised of videos that are centered around Michael Jackson.

In 2017 Shana, again, tries to capitalize off Michael Jackson by uploading behind the scenes footage of Michael’s In The Closet Video to her YouTube Channel. Shana also placed her watermark on the video as well. This video and all other videos that contain Michael Jackson’s image and likeness are the property of Michael Jackson’s Estate and have been removed from Shana’s YouTube Channel

Publicity

Shana has also found a way to capitalize by seeking publicity from tabloids sources both online and on television. She did this prior to the release of her book and also whenever a Michael Jackson story becomes big news. The following are just a few examples of stories written about her in The Mirror, The Sun and a Reelz TV show about Michael she was eager to participate in. The list is not all inclusive.

May 2016 – To help advertise the release of her book, Michael and Me, Shana seeks publicity from Tabloid trash publications such as the The Mirror to sell her story.

March 2019 – More publicity from the Sun is given to Shana and she continues to capitalize off of Michael and the Leaving Neverland saga.

Selling unreleased Michael Jackson concert footage

Below is the comment posted on Shana’s Instagram account which states that she received $4,200 for that leaked 1992 Dangerous Copenhagen Concert. The comment was quickly removed by Shana and is no longer on her Instagram:

After reviewing the many ways Shana has been able to benefit from knowing Michael Jackson, one can honestly ask how much more has she capitalized off of him?

August 2019 Shana continues to “Leak” unreleased Michael Jackson songs to the public

Michael’s fans also notice that Shana has been capitalizing off him and express their concerns to her on Instagram.

Shana replies to this fans concerns in a condescending manner. It’s also interesting to note that Shana does not address the fact that she is making money off of Michael’s good name.

The obvious question that one should ask is this; Is monetizing Michael Jackson something that a true friend would do?

Shana has been doing this for years.

July 2020 – Shana continues to be the topic of conversation on Social Media in regards to how she capitalizes off of Michael Jackson. There were several MJ videos on Shana’s YouTube channel that were removed by Sony Music Entertainment due to Copyright (See The Aftermath). SME is able to control what Shana does publicly with MJ videos that she has in her possession, but that may not be the case for what she does with them outside of the public eye. Could Shana’s YouTube channel be a commercial for what she is selling privately?

Michael Jackson fans understand how important his music was to him and also how protective he was of his work. Why doesn’t Shana seem to understand?

Shana was not only revealed as the source of unreleased MJ material but would also soon be known for the gossip that took place in her private MJ book club Facebook group as well.
